Geopolitical crises in the Middle East, shifting tariff regimes, and supply chain disruptions are reshaping business performance across industries. This workshop aims to empower participants to interpret financial statements not just as static records, but as dynamic tools for navigating volatility and making resilient decisions.

Foundation & Structure: Understand the purpose and framework of financial reports as the backbone of corporate transparency in times of global uncertainty.

Deep Dive into Financial Statements: Explore the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement with a “Think Business” mindset, connecting financial data to real-world challenges like rising energy costs or tariff impacts.

Analytical Techniques:

  • Ratio Analysis: Assess liquidity and solvency in the face of disrupted trade flows and financing constraints.
  • Trend Evaluation: Use horizontal analysis to detect how crises and tariffs alter growth trajectories.
  • Comparative Techniques: Apply vertical analysis to benchmark performance against industry peers navigating similar global pressures.
  • Cash Flow Sustainability: Evaluate working capital and free cash flow to measure resilience under supply chain shocks and inflationary pressures.

Practical Application: Case studies and group discussions will highlight how companies adapt financial strategies to geopolitical risks and trade barriers in global commerce.

By the end of the program, participants will be equipped to interpret financial statements as strategic narratives — uncovering how businesses survive, adapt, and thrive amid crises, tariffs, and global economic shifts.

  • Analysts who would like to speed up their career progression by mastering advanced evaluation techniques
  • Accountants and Auditors
  • Directors & Managers who want to make data-backed and high-stakes decisions with absolute confidence
